After an uneventful few weeks, it was great to get back ringside for some hard-hitting action!  I got there around 4:30pm and people were already in the parking lot waiting to buy tickets.  The U.S. Army recruiters were keeping people entertained with the UFC Video Game being played in the back of an H3, and a local radio station was broadcasting live.  I got settled in and the first fight kicked off around 7:30

4th Offense Recap

The VFL and Combat in the Cage put together another night of fights in Leesburg. The fights started at just after 7:30 and rolled passed 11.

 I have to say that I saw the worst Kamora I have ever seen in my life and I also wittnessed the fasted KO of my life at .05 in the first round. Just long enough to throw a leg kick followed by a STEAMING left and that was lights out.

One on One with the "Wildchild" CR Hess

1. Wildchild, and my finishing move would be called Pick your teeth up. Haha.

2. I fight because I crave competition. I never grew up in a rough household, or a difficult situation, but I always needed, and strived for that moment when the ref raises my hand and says my name. I do it to test myself against all others. It helps me find what I need to work on, and what I am doing well in.

Pro Boxing from the Patriot Center

This past weekends pro-boxing event at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA was a great night of fights. The evening started of at 7:30pm with a 4 round heavyweight bout pairing Andrew Jackson in his pro debut against Delonte Marshall (0-2) both from Washington, DC. The third fight of the night was a short but GREAT FIGHT. Local fighter "Tattoo" Tom Mitchell (0-1) had a rematch with Yieta "King" Johnson (1-2). Johnson ended up with a KO in the first.

UWC: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

On Saturday April 24th the UWC opened it's doors to present an all-pro MMA event: "Capital Punishment".  The night started with a special meet-and-greet with UFC superstar, Tito Ortiz.
Doors opened at 630 and fights started at 730.

The eight-fight night stated off with Kris "Savage" McCray winning his fight over Ronnie West in :39 of the first round
Via Rear-Naked Choke.  I have seen Kris fight at the amatuer level at Operation Octagon as well as pro level, so it was no supprise to witness his 3rd first-round victory at UWC.
