Through The Cage - From the outside looking in...

This past Saturday, November 7th, Operation Octagon had their ninth event, this being the first with professional fights on the card. This is also the first event O.O. has had since acquiring Valhalla fights, and it was an overwhelming success. As usual with Operation Octagon, there was a sellout crowd this time fans packed the Dulles SportsPlex in Sterling.

As well as the beautiful Wylde Style girls, Local MMA superstar Kris "Savage" McCray and NFL (4 season Redskin vet) Eddie Mason were in attendance to watch some of the action.  This event featured 17 fights, with fighters representing  21 different schools!!  The card was one of the best match-ups we have seen in a while!

Some highlights:

The night started with Abdur Khan from Army Combatives winning by unanimous decision  30-27. 

-Elder Ramos delivered a hard right hand knocking out Adrian Belcarris twenty four seconds into the second round.

-Mike Pope submitted to Mike with ONE SECOND LEFT of the 1st round.

-Brian Vanhoven delivered a defestating knock out to Jeremy Carper that left him on the mat, legs twitching (he was okay!)

-Elijah Harshbarger (Owner of Gold Medal Grappling, Woodbridge, VA)  defeated Jeremiah Gurley
